Executive Pastry Chef Ana Funes of Sugar Factory Las Vegas
Ana Funes at the Las Vegas Chocolate Festival and Pastry Show
As the Pastry Chef for Sugar Factory and Sugar Factory American Brasserie,
Funes has the opportunity to roll up her sleeves
and
truly express her creativity. Some of her
responsibilities include coming up with new and
inventive confections, creating vibrant and
impressive cakes for the eatery’s frequent celebrity
guests and overseeing every scrumptious cupcake,
cookie, tart and pastry sold in the restaurant. Chef Funes has been in the baking and sweets business
since 2005, working in such fine establishments as
Wolfgang Puck’s Spago working for Sherry Yard and
the luxurious SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills after
graduating from The Art Institute of Los Angeles. As
a child Ana worked for her father who was a
restaurant owner and she would always go back in the
kitchen and try and help cook with the guys. As I
got older I would try and make desserts for the
restaurant and just fell in love. Things I love in
my kitchen agar, disco dust, and chocolate.
The event benefits one of the most amazing organizations in the world. will receive the net proceeds for this amazing chocolate and pastry show.
